At the prestigious 2015 Asia Boating Award Gala, the Sun Odyssey 349 received top honors. Named the Best Worldwide Production Sailing Yacht in the category up to 15m (50’). This is the third year in a row that Jeanneau has received this accolade.
This year’s Jeanneau Rally in Hobart was much later than usual, but April weather is usually calm and sunny so we hoped for the best. The three days before and after the Saturday and Sunday were perfect but a blustery cold front hit the fleet just before the end of the Fun Race.
Take a look at the latest review of the new model Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 349 from Boatsales.com.au (click the link).
The latest pocket cruiser/racer from Jeanneau has some pretty nifty features
OVERVIEW - Small boat with big-boat features A few years ago if someone told you they had a new yacht with twin steering wheels, twin rudders and a huge drop-down transom, you’d think they’d just bought a fifty footer – especially when they told you it also had room to comfortably sleep six or seven and had a separate full-height shower stall in the bathroom.
But no. Jeanneau’s new Sun Odyssey 349 fits all that and more into just 10.34 metres (33ft 11in) plus a bit more for the optional bowsprit.
Jeanneau has been a fan of the twin steer concept for some time and I can remember being intrigued by the Sun Odyssey 40 when that came out with two wheels, thinking that it was too small a boat for dual helms – but a 34-footer? This would be interesting…
“Good customs and traditions must live on” says an old adage. To honour it, the editors from nautical media and the UNCL office (the French IRC rating authority) met in a Parisian brasserie to elect the IRC Boat of the Year.
How many cruising yachts could complete a circumnavigation of Australia and then go on to take a close second in a cruising division at Hamilton Island Race Week?
When considering the sale of your ‘pride and joy’ some may baulk at the idea of listing with a boat broker citing cost as the major reason. But, rather than asking what is the cost of using a broker, you should ask: What is the cost of NOT using a broker?
Jeanneau have released, for a limited time only, special ‘Black Label’ prices on select models.
Amongst the line-up is the "2011 European Yacht of the Year" Sun Odyssey 409. Starting at $274,0000 (base price) it is incredible value.
